Parenthood is complex. Whether you are parenting full-time, working toward reunification, navigating foster care, or walking through adoption — your story matters, and so does your mental health.
At Grounded Mental Health, we understand the layered realities of raising, loving, and showing up for children in complicated systems. We know that behind every family situation are deep emotions, a desire for healing, and a need for support — especially for parents.

Holding Space for Biological Parents
We believe wholeheartedly that biological parents are worthy of support, compassion, and hope.
Reunification is the goal of the foster care system, and it is a deeply meaningful and often incredibly difficult journey. Biological parents are often navigating trauma, grief, shame, systemic barriers, and heartbreak — all while doing their best to grow, heal, and stay connected to their children. That takes strength.
Too often, bio parents are expected to do this work in silence. At Grounded Mental Health, we believe you deserve a place to talk, to be heard, and to care for your own emotional well-being — because you’re human and worthy of support.
Supporting Foster & Adoptive Parents, Too
Foster and adoptive parents also carry complex emotional loads — loving children who may move on, navigating open adoptions, or managing behaviors rooted in trauma. While each parenting journey looks different, what unites them is the love, worry, and commitment poured into caring for a child.
We support:
Biological parents working toward reunification or grieving separation
Foster, kinship, and guardianship caregivers navigating the ups and downs of temporary care
Adoptive parents adjusting to new roles and responsibilities
All parents coping with stress, burnout, trauma, identity shifts, and emotional overwhelm
Why This Work Matters to Me
My own experience in this space is what led me to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I’ve seen firsthand how complex and emotional this space is — and how much strength, love, and healing exists in it. That’s why I do this work now: to support families from all sides, with compassion and without judgment.
You Don’t Have to Do This Alone
Wherever you are in your parenting journey, whether you're actively parenting or working hard to be reunited with your child — you deserve care and support.
